Seeing Icebergs

Personal project, 2018-2022.

After the icebergs will disappear, we will be left with collected data and human memories. Seeing Icebergs is an interface for seeing icebergs through other people's eyes. The actual coordinates on planet earth will be replaced by the screen coordinates, which will remain the only place for us to witness those white giants.

Instead of the actual visuality of the icebergs, a computer generated images is created based on the human textual memories. Each time the memory is observed, a new image is generated.

Sometimes, when you are heading somewhere, you miss the view. I was always like that. Until I met someone who was also like that, so focused he was constantly missing. I started enjoying the view, letting myself forget about the target. He missed me.
